Membership to LVSA Shooting Range

Join the Lander Valley Sportsmen’s Association (LVSA) Today!

Annual Memberships run from September 1st through August 31st each year at which point the locks will be changed and membership must be renewed. 

• Memberships purchased Sept 1st through June 30th will end on August 31st of the same year and are not prorated. 

• Memberships purchased between July 1 and August 31st are eligible for a grace period and will remain valid through August 31st of the following year. 

Range Key Pickup: After purchase, bring your payment receipt email to Wind River Outdoor Company, 8114 Hwy 789, Lander, Wyoming to pick up keys. 
Welcome Packet: You will receive an orientation packet to your email going over the membership! This includes important locations, contacts, and other club information. Please download or print the pdf and give it a read to get an idea of operations!

Outdoor Range:

• Location: 8474 Highway 789, NE of Lander

• Features:

  • Pistol and small bore rifle range with targets up to 50 yards

  • High power rifle range with targets ranging from 50 to 1,000 yards

  • Silhouette course for high power and small bore rifle and pistols

• Access: Members and guests only, via a locked gate (unless a scheduled match or activity is in process)

LVSA Sponsored Activities:

• Hunter education classes for adults and juniors

• Junior section for rifle training

• Basic marksmanship courses for ladies and juniors

• Public sight-in day at our outdoor range

• Registered and approved rifle and pistol matches

• Personal protection classes for adults

Meetings:

• Held at the indoor range at 7:00 pm on the first Wednesday of each month, September through May (unless it falls on a holiday or otherwise set by the Executive Committee)

Membership Details:

• Dues:

  • Family membership: $100.00 (includes all immediate family members in the same household)

  • Key Deposits: $5.00 for outdoor range key, $5.00 for indoor range key

  • Orientation tour required for indoor range use

New Members Receive:

• Membership card

• Copy of range rules

• LVSA outdoor range schedule for the year

• Key to the outdoor range

Member / Guest Policy:

• Members may bring guests under the following conditions:

  • A paid member must accompany all guests. Lending of keys to non-members is prohibited.

  • Local guests: Limited to three visits per year. Additional visits require membership.

  • Non-local guests: No visit limit due to infrequent opportunities to use the facilities.
